How fast has this year gone! We blinked and here we are in December panicking about all the gifts we’ve still got to buy and working out who’s making what for Christmas lunch.
We have enjoyed another great year at In Stride and have been privileged to be involved in some fantastic success stories and witnessed some wonderful health & wellness goals being reached - a great testament to our 12th birthday reached in September. Though we had a crappy start to the year (pun intended) with the plumbing issues at the Leisure Centre, it was onward & upward from there and we are forever grateful to our wonderful clients and staff for their patience & understanding at such a difficult time.
The year has also seen many happy staff celebrations and babies born. Our very own loved leader & director had her second baby in April, a beautiful boy named Jonathan and then topped off her busy year with a recent visit to see her grandmother in England to help celebrate her 100th birthday. In May, Kath’s In Stride partner in crime, the lovely & loved Louise competed in the Fred Hollows Foundation Coastrek, a 30-kilometre walk raising much needed funds for Beyond Blue. Louise also finally started her journey into women’s health completing a course with Women’s Health Training Associates and is now available for consultations at the clinic. The ‘always smiling physio’ Brooke gave birth to her first child in September, a beautiful baby girl named Olive. Our lovely podiatrist Vronika announced her engagement and we welcomed two new faces to the In Stride team, physio’s Dilani and Amelia. Amelia is a continence and lymphedema physiotherapist and is available for appointments at the clinic.
As part of our Christmas celebrations this year and in the spirit of giving back, In Stride staff will be collecting donations to support the ‘Ascot Vale Free Little Pantry’ located in St Leonards Rd in Ascot Vale. We would love it if our clients would like to contribute as well and are looking for things such as pastas and sauces, canned goods, toiletries and Christmas goods. They don’t however accept any home baked items, dairy products or products that need refrigerating and goods three months past ‘best before’ date. Donations can be dropped off at the studio or clinic.
From our families to yours the directors and staff of In Stride Health Clinic would like to wish you all a safe and Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. We hope 2020 brings you all you wish for yourselves and we look forward to another great year of serving you and our community.
